Ann Harper is the City of Millbrook’s Economic Development Director and serves as an ex-officio board member of the Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce. Prior to coming on with the City, Ann worked for 15 years with the Alabama Wildlife Federation as their Development Officer.
On an interesting note, Ann was Millbrook’s first economic development director, before accepting employment with the Alabama Wildlife Federation. In 1999, she began working with the City to establish a formal economic development program that set the stage and process for the growth and diversification in our local economy that we’re seeing today.
Ann has strong ties to Millbrook. She has always had a connection with the City – whether living or working here. She is a Stanhope Elmore High School graduate and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Auburn University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Auburn University at Montgomery. She is a member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama and International Council of Shopping Centers. She also serves on the Elmore County Economic Development Authority (ECEDA) and the Montgomery Area Mental Health Authority as the City of Millbrook’s representative.
Ann is married to Mike Harper, an attorney, and they have one daughter, Aliceann, who is currently attending Auburn University.
