The Alabama Nature Center, located at Lanark is open to the public the 3rd weekend of each month.
Week-end passes are $5.00 Adult and $3.00 per child [3 to 10] or $3.00 and $2.00 per day. In addition to the beautiful 5 miles of nature trails, there will be a program. The June program is "Snakes of Alabama". Dr. Hastings, a professional educator, zoologist and marine scientest, will have several variety of snakes on hand. Did you know there are six species of poisionous snakes in Alabama? Dr. Hastings will present his program at the Lanark Previlion on Saturday, June 16th at 11AM and again at 1PM. There is no extra charge to attend this program.

The nature trails are open Saturday from 8AM until 6PM and on Sunday from 1 til 6pm.
